KJK and That TR Man
aka "Posie Parker and what she really said on that Feminist Current Podcast"
Who is Kellie-Jay Keen aka “Posie Parker”?
By the time I became aware that the world had gone stark, staring mad, Kellie-Jay Keen aka “Posie Parker” had already been banned from Mumsnet and Twitter.
(At the time of writing, she is back on Twitter, thanks to Elon Musk, after spending four years on the Naughty Step: @ThePosieParker )
If you do not know who Kellie-Jay Keen is, she has, in addition to Twitter and various other Social Media accounts:
a YouTube Channel: @KellieJayKeen
a website: StandingForWomen.com
an online campaign-materials shop: AdultHumanFemale.store
other links: https://lnk.bio/kelliejaykeen
While it would be fair to say that Kellie-Jay is a controversial figure, it is hard to think of anyone with a public face in the “Sex vs Gender Debate” who is not controversial.
Kellie-Jay Keen - Feminist Current Podcast 24 Jan 2019
The allegations against KJK are that, in this interview with Meghan Murphy, she:
1) dismisses the work of feminists, who fought to expose grooming gangs and the cover ups, as being “ineffective”.
2) suggests that feminists did not do enough
3) says that she needs evidence that they did do enough
4) suggests that Tommy Robinson filled a gap that women's groups and others left open
5) that she therefore "massively insults" feminists and women's groups
The allegations are here:
WHAT KJK ACTUALLY SAID:
Listen from 34:54 here, although I would encourage you to listen to the full podcast, particularly if you are only familiar with the “Bad Girl” noise blocking out KJK :
Relevant extracts:
"Tommy Robinson, I think he is probably a racist and a yob. I think he is an opportunist and I think there are probably some really awful things to say about him. That's my gut feeling. . . .
Why is this insignificant man being given such significance? It doesn't make sense. He's just like a micey yob. I'm not saying his supporters aren't awful as well."
"The thing with Tommy Robinson, the reason he is even of any note is whilst everybody - and I'm sure there was - and in fact I'm assured by women on the ground there was some work going on, on the ground in places like Rotherham and Telford and everywhere that grooming gangs existed, there were women fighting it, right?
However, it didn't make it to the mainstream media until massive great big ruptures.
And so what that did - and there was a culture of, 'let's not be racist', you know, so when these - and also 'these girls are losers and they probably want to be prostitutes at 15'.
So all of those tied in together left a gaping hole for somebody to come in and say, "Well, 90% of all the men that are grooming - that, you know, that we've arrested for grooming are Pakistani, or Muslim, or Somali, you know, but they're all Muslims, so let's talk about Muslim grooming gangs," and that - If you can't talk about these things you leave them open for people with ill motives to talk about them and make it their cause, and that's exactly what happened.
So I've just continued to sort of say, well, you know, it's the fault of the left.
If they - if that police force had dealt with those grooming gangs from the off, there would be no room for anybody to capitalise on that void."
ALLEGATIONS, EVIDENCE AND THOUGHTS:
1) Grooming gangs, feminists and women's groups:
KJK does not dismiss the work of feminists and women's groups. She says, "there were women fighting it, right"
She notes that mainstream media did not cover the scandal but she does not blame feminists or women's groups. She neither says nor suggests that they were "ineffective" or "did not do enough".
2) Grooming gangs and the cover ups:
KJK blames "the Left" and the Police - not feminists and women's groups
(this has been vindicated by numerous official inquiries)
3) Robinson:
KJK describes him, amongst other things (see above) as, "an insignificant man”, “a racist yob”, “an opportunist . . . with ill motives".
However, she also says that she has been described in the mainstream media as a "hateful bigot". So she distrusts, and is not prepared to make, condemnations without evidence and she wants to know exactly what he has done.
She asks "who does it serve to give this insignificant man such significance, it just doesn't make any sense". She adds, "The scales have fallen from my eyes about the Left".
Perhaps she is suspicious that the focus on Robinson is a ploy, to distract attention from the failure of the Left to tackle the mass sexual exploitation of young girls?
KJK says that she is "from the Left" but has become disillusioned with "the Left", disappointed and distrustful.
Many of us who have/had a tribal loyalty to the Labour Party have felt disgusted and betrayed that it is Labour Councils that have ignored mass sexual exploitation of children. Even if we were unaware of it at the time, it can weigh heavy that it was "our side" who let this happen.
KJK speaks emotionally of her great distress at her treatment by women of the Left and of her plan to minimise the impact on "the movement". This is someone who feels the pain of rejection by her "family", not fury or fear from an attack by the enemy.
My impression, not just from this podcast, is that KJK is so severe in her criticisms of "the Left" not because she is right-wing but because she believed, perhaps still holds out hope, that the natural place of "the Left" is occupying the moral high-ground.

You might feel that the specific allegations against KJK with regard to this podcast are justified. However, if this is the first time you have heard the evidence, at least you will have made up your mind based on what KJK actually said.
KJK says other things with which you might take issue but my purpose in posting this video is to compare those specific allegations with what she actually said.

There was going to be a Part 2 but the rest, and much more, has been covered in an excellent article by Julian Vigo:

Thank you. It's good to finally know what all the fuss has been about, absolutely nothing. Which is why I couldn't find anything, I shall stop bothering to check anymore.
Ridiculous article, and I'm on your side.
"To make people stop using major smears used to discredit and demonise Posie Parker, I'll write an article using major smears to discredit and demonise Tommy Robinson"
The same media who propagandised you into thinking "tOmMy RoBiNsOn Is A rAcIsT" is the same media who are trying to make Posie Parker into a bigot.
If Tommy Robinson is a racist, Posie Parker is a bigot, or they are both smeared by the same media, so which one is it? You can't have it both ways.
